PR Newswire’s Virtual Event, “Engage CSR 2010,” discussed the growing importance of communications and measurement of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in today’s business environment. The virtual event, which took place on June 30, 2010, brought together CSR managers as well as PR and IR professionals to showcase the growing importance of communicating corporate social responsibility initiatives to shareholders, customers, employees and partners via traditional media as well as the growing world of social media. UBM Studios provided the 3D platform for the event.

Panel discussions featured experts from Microsoft, Intel, Campbell’s Soup, Merck, UPS and other Fortune 500 companies; sustainability sites, and NGOs. Panels were interspersed between keynote address webcasts given by world-class marketing and sustainability leaders.
Attendees learned what leading companies are doing to drive and promote corporate social responsibility, including:

- Are you clear on The Who, What, Why, and How of Sustainability Reporting?
- Have you mastered the use of content in social media to accelerate progress?
- What social media tools may intensify social purpose branding…and how do you measure its return on investment?
