3D or 2D? RSNA Says Let the User Decide with Their Virtual Event Extension for Their Annual Meeting

RSNA is breaking new ground with the development of a virtual space in a 3D, immersive environment, where attendees will create an avatar and navigate around the event and network with other attendees. There are some challenges with 3D though like the need for a software download and depending on the computer you are using, some performance challenges though these are becoming less of an issue. Oracle World Online Attendance Hits 700,000
Posted on October 28, 2011 | No CommentsFrom MeetPie.com Paul Salinger vice-president marketing, Oracle USA, told the ICCA Congress in Leipzig this week how the software technology company is morphing its mega-conference for a more mobile, hybrid market to extend its audience – it is targeting 50,000 delegates in 2012. The Oracle Open World event – now spanning seven venues in San Francisco – attracted more than 45,000 attendees in 2011 and 185,000 online by the day of the conference.
