Unified communication solutions provider Polycom has teamed up with the research division of IBM Corporation to explore and develop innovative cloud-delivered video collaboration technologies that leverages its RealPresence platformand real-time video capabilities. This teamwork will ensure the optimal performance of RealPresence video solutions to enhance security and reliability, as businesses around the world are increasingly demanding cloud-based video conferencing services.
Polycom and IBM also have plans to promote interoperability between standard and non-standard video environments, including social video applications, to help businesses conduct face-to-face video meetings irrespective of network, platforms, devices, or protocols. Working with IBM, Polycom will put special emphasis on developing video-enabled mobile social collaboration solutions.

|Sonic Foundry to Host a Webinar on Hybrid Meetings
Samuel J. Smith, event technology consultant, will share his insights on the results of MPI’s first hybrid events research in a webinar. On Wednesday, September 18, Smith will discuss how companies are leveraging hybrid events to increase sales, improve performance and boost attendance.
